ABOUT

TL;DR: I got into UI/UX through an argument with my brother and a failed ₦4,500 ponzi scheme 😄 Curiosity made me start, pressure made me stay.

Now 2+ years in, I design products and brands focused on simple, functional, and intentional experiences. Still learning, still improving.

Hey, I’m
Baskey Koer

Also, Abdulbassit Alagbe, ABDULLAHI.
20-something, still figuring things out.

I’ve been in UI/UX design for over 2 years now,
but this whole thing started in a very random way.

An argument.

My brother once said UI/UX is more complex than graphic design
because it powers apps like WhatsApp.
I didn’t agree at that moment, but it got me thinking.

Wait a minute…
someone actually designed the apps I use every day?

That question stayed.

Then life added its own lesson.

I joined a ₦4,500 ponzi scheme that promised $40 returns.
After about two months, I finally hit the withdrawal stage…
and nothing came out.

That was the moment.

I was told to either cry or learn a skill.

Scrolling through the options, I saw the word UI/UX again.
The same thing I argued about.

I didn’t think twice. I picked it.
That’s how this journey started.

At first, it was just curiosity.
Trying to understand how apps work.
How screens talk to people.
Why some things feel easy and others don’t.

Then it became practice.
Late nights in Figma.
Random ideas.
A lot of trial and error.

Now it’s more than that.

I design products and brands.
Apps, websites, dashboards.
Clean, simple, and intentional.

Still learning.
Still experimenting.
Still getting better.

This is my corner of the internet.
Thanks for being here.

If you want to reach out,
keep it short and clear.
I reply when it matters.

One last thing…
